Is that possible to automatically numbered references Academic Articles style in word?

Hello my question is pretty specific.

I want to be able to generate acadamic paper style references

Here what i mean

Full reference in the end

If those are headings (perhaps  level 9 and not shown in TOC), you can use the Cross-Reference feature to refer (and hyperlink) to the paragraph number.

You can sort your reference list by first and last name. That may reorder your paragraphs.

Update the cross reference fields in your body to reflect the new numbers. (Perhaps Ctrl+A followed by F9).

This is intermediate-level use of Word, not for beginners.

This is an old article, but the bottom line is that you just create your reference list in alphabetical order, adding auto numbering to the style used. In the text, use cross-references to the paragraph numbers of the listed references. As you add references to the list, the numbering of the reference list will update automatically, but you will need to use F9 to update the cross-references.

Of course you can! You create your numbered reference list, add a (numbered) paragraph, and paste in your reference. Sort your list in alphabetical order, then insert cross-references in the text to the paragraph number(s) of the relevant reference(s) in the list.

ok i suppose it can be done with numbered lists and cross referencing them
