Outlook error 17099

Error

Isn't on our network to be able to send email.

I keep getting this error, Mail could not be sent.

Outlook cant send from my wifi modem although I am able to receive on the wifi network, but if I connect my phone personal hotspot it works perfectly?

    Hi Toby,

    This is a home/personal account.

    I am using outlook for mac 2011 and I also installed 2016, but it gives the same problem, so I am back on 2011.

    I have tried to rebuild the database, but that didnt solve the problem.

    The emails sends when I use cellular data like 3g, but when I use wifi it gives the error, and my wifi is working and connected to the internet.

    Thanks for your response and I would appreciate any other suggestions to solve this problem.

    Hi Hesmarie,

    Based on your description, both your account and the Outlook client are working fine. The root cause of this issue is related to the network. To confirm it, please do the following test.

    1.You mentioned, you are using home/personal accounts, please sign in to web services to check if you are able to send email with your Wi-Fi.

    1. Set up your account in another computer to check if the issue persists.

    I suggest you also contact the network provider to check your network configuration.

    Hi Hesmarie,

    Is the problematic account an Office 365 Business account or Home/Personal account?

    What mail client are you using? If you are using the Outlook for Mac, please follow the steps below to re-build the Outlook database to check the result.

    In Outlook 2011 for Mac.

    1. Close all the running applications.
    2. Press and hold the ‘Option’ key and open Outlook 2011. You can also open Application folder and then Office 2011 to find the utility. Access the Office folder, and hit double-click on Microsoft Database Utility.app.
    3. Select the database that needs to be maintained in Database Utility window, and click on ‘Rebuild’.
    4. You will see a window ‘Rebuilding Main Identify’ showing progress. On completion of the process, a message “Your database was rebuilt successfully.” will show.
    5. Click on ‘Done’.

    In Outlook 2016 for Mac, please refer to this article to create a new Outlook profile.

    If you are not, please provide more details about your situation, so i can better understand this issue.
