Outlook 2016

Has anyone else seen an error when closing Outlook 2016 on Windows 10?

It reads either there is no default mail client or the current mail client cannot fulfill the messaging request.

Please run Microsoft Outlook and set it as the default mail client.

Outlook is set as default.

The other day when I started Outlook I got a message that said Outlook did not close properly or something to that effect.

And asked me to start in safe mode so I did, exited and restarted it and all was fine.

    Hello Ronnie,

In order to resolve this issue you may try the following step and check if it resolves the issue:

We will try opening Outlook 2016 in Run as Administrator Mode and check if it resolves the issue and opens fine without the error.

    1. In the main Windows 10 Start Screen locate Outlook 2016
    2. Right-click on Outlook 2016 and click on Run as Administrator.
    3. Check if it opens fine without the error message.

Try the above step and let us know the result.

    Thank you.

Yeah, it's coming up almost anytime you try to call up outlook from outside the program. There isn't anything we can do but wait for an update - unfortunately, that is the price we pay for being early adopters.

First, this isn't helpful, I misclicked and can't undo that :|

I'm getting this alert at login when Skype for Business auto starts.  Given this timing running Outlook, of even S4B, as an Administrator is not possible.

I see the same message when attempting to email photos from file explorer and changing to administrator makes no difference.

it's a fairly common error in the current builds.
