Sharepoint 2013 Search Function Missing Documents

Hi everyone,

We are using SP 2013 as part of Office 365. I've noticed that some documents are not showing up in the search when I search the top page for words in the title.

The documents live on a specific site, in a 'Reports Library". All documents from the same site in a Document Library are showing up in the search results.

These documents are also not showing up in my Delve. I have checked the settings to make sure that the Allow this site to appear in search results is: enabled, I've checked "always index all web parts on this site", I've made sure the reports library where this document lives is NOT requiring content approval, and finally I am the author of the document so it can not be a permissions question.

Is the search crawl just not able to include items from a Reports Library web app?

Thanks,

Sylvie

Hi Sylvie,

The Version settings in Report Library is Create major and minor (draft) versionsby default. All new files in this library will be in the version 0.1. So, the files will not be searchable.

You need to manually publish the files so that they can appear in the search results.

Thanks,

Ran
