It's a bug in 15.28 and 15.29 Unless you are able to go back to 15.27 I don't think there is much you can do until MSFT fix it.
Double bullet points in PowerPoint
Double bullet points have 'appeared' suddenly in the presentation I'm working on and I can't remove them - any ideas?
thanks
Alex

Please click on the small smiley-face icon in the upper-right corner of the program window, choose Tell Us What Can Be Better and describe the issue. You can include your screen shot as well. The more complaints Microsoft gets, the faster they'll fix it.

2016-11-30T07:01:21+00:00 I know MSFT are well aware of this bug and are likely to be working flat out on a fix as it is a major problem for people. While I don't know for sure I would expect a fix pretty soon.
I would suggest that if you convert to shapes you ALSO keep a presentation with real smart art as I believe the fix will revert them to single bullets.
