Task 348 is not the predecessor to any subsequent task. Enter 348 in the predecessor field for the tasks that are dependent upon task 348. You must manually enter the predecessors (not dates) to have the project update automatically.
Dates not updating automatically in MS Project Std 2016
Hi,
I am encountering an issue with MS Project standard 2016.
After inserting a few extra rows (for additional tasks) from one of MS Project template, whenever I change duration / predecessor in one task, Project 2016 does not reflect the same into the subsequent tasks automatically.
I have to redo all the related tasks manually, i.e. delete the predecessor and retype the same manually. It then reflects the required change in the dates. Worst part is that I have to do it for all the subsequent tasks.
It is already on "Auto Calculate" date schedule. I think the newly inserted rows (tasks) are not link or group to the subsequent rows (tasks).
Please advise on the solution.
Thank you for your time and help.

2016-08-01T14:52:36+00:00 Hmmm. Let's start over. You have a project created from a template and the start date for the Project looks like June 13 2016. I see what appear to be start no earlier than constraints on several tasks. Using your first picture (with the tasks) can you please explain what you expected to occur.

2016-08-06T05:34:17+00:00 Thank you Julie, the issue start from row 348 onward. Says if we change the 'duration' from 1 day to 3 days (on row 348), the subsequent dates from row 349 onward should be automatically updated. At the moment they have to be manually adjusted row by row. However the other dates on rows prior to row 346 are working perfectly.
Please advise. Thank you for your help and time.
