How to exit draw mode?

Question

I am locked into the draw mode. How do I get out of the draw mode and back into the edit mode? I uninstalled and reinstalled the blank file is still in the draw mode.

Sounds like you have the ribbon hidden.  Click on the three dots at the top right of the screen to display the ribbon.

Hi Richard,

I would like to know if you tried to disable the drawing mode previously.

Let us open Word, click on ink tools----pens tab and choose Stop Inking.

I asked the question how can I get out of the drawing mode and back into the editor.

Problem is I cannot find the ink tools or a pen tools tab.

I guess my problem is  why cannot just exit it to go back to the editor, such as with the other elements provided such as insert picture?

Harsha Rasquinha also asked if I had tried to disable the drawing mode before. The answer is YES! After a day with support I could not, so I went with  Open Office, now I find compatibility wise I would  like word.

If I can not use the editor Word is worthless.

What happens when you click on the Home tab of the ribbon?  That will take you out of drawing mode.

Doug I do not see a home tab on the ribbon. Tool bar home does not take me out.
