Hi James,
There is no Application Scripts folder in my Library. I also did a search for com.microsoft.Excel but it doesn't exist anywhere on my computer.

I have a script that opens an Excel spreadsheet and loops through theCell. The character count for the first cell is 17 (theChrCount) and the contents of the cell (theCellValue) is "Application Files". When I run the script through the first loop, character 1 shows as "A". When I run through the second loop, character 2 shows "pl". The third shows character 3 as "lic" and so on. So the 6th character shows 6 values. Any idea why character 2 would show "pl" instead of "p"? It's like character n is the character at n for n places. This script ran well under the old version of Excel but stopped working on Microsoft Excel for Mac Version 15.33.
set theCell to cell ("F" & i)
set theCellValue to value of theCell as string
set theChrCount to (get count of characters in theCellValue)
repeat with n from 1 to theChrCount --> 0.79s
set theChr to character n of theCell
set theChrProp to properties of theChr
set theFontObject to font object of theChrProp
end repeat

Hi Mike,
I’ll suggest you post a new thread in Macscripter, as mentioned by James in his last post. The experts in the forum can help you better with Applescript issue.
Thanks,
Neha
Thanks for the suggestion. I registered with Macscripter and received a confirmation email. It said I'd be notified when an administrator has approved my registration and fully activating my account.
I never received a notification Thursday or Friday and today, when I try to log in, it doesn't even accept my password. I clicked "Forgot my Password" and when I enter my email address it told me there was no account linked to that email address even though I am looking at the email from them.
Hi Mike,
For this kind of question, please contact the administrator of that forum: Ray Barber.
Appreciate your understanding.
Regards,
James
Thanks, James. I was able to post this on Ray Barber's site but received no luck there, either. I sent an email to Microsoft but I'm not holding my breath for a response. It does seem like a bug, though.
