Opening IRM'd documents in browser

Hi, Is it expected behaviour that if I open a word document from a document library that has IRM enabled this will only open in read only mode and cannot be edited?

    Hi Cathal,

    You are right. If the IRM is enabled for a document library, it’s not available to be edited online. Instead, you need to download the file and check if you have the right to view or edit it.
