Sharepoint 2016 - unable to export "Issue Tracking" to excel spreadsheet

I am trying to export data from a share point issue tracking template to excel and receive a error message :To export a list, you must have a Microsoft SharePoint Foundation compatible application.On clicking OK it goes to a screen of script.I require to export the list's data to excel.

    Hi Vanitha,

    I have done a test on the SharePoint 2013 Online environment and get different results with the different browsers.

    a.With Chrome, I get the same result as yours: a screen of scripts.

    b.With IE/Firefox, I can successfully export it to Excel.

    Given this situation, I would suggest you try different browsers first to check the outcome.

    If the issue persists, as this forum mainly focuses on Office 365 for Business Online services, we would suggest you post to our SharePoint server 2016 forum for expert help, which is dedicated to handing this kind of issue.
