Refresh rate Automatically changes when unpluging the charger

So , i am just using a new asus tuf f15 but when i unplug the charger , the refresh rate changes from 144z to 60 hz , someone please help me how do i keep the display 144hz all time

I was facing the same problem. You just need to disable the Panel Self/Auto-refresh from Intel graphic command panel and the problem will be resolved.

Hey, I found a quick fix that was the source of problem for me. I had uninstalled and reinstalled the MSI center, and apparently there was a setting in the general settings tab that was checked. It was "Display Power Saver". After unchecking it, the refresh rate became steady at 144Hz.
Hope this helps others, because it fixed the problem for me.

Dude, I had the same problem with my Asus Tuf Gaming F15 and it is because of the "Asus Smart Display Control" driver. Just uninstall it from the control panel. To do that, open control panel, go to uninstall programs and right click "Asus Smart Display Control", then click uninstall and follow the steps. After that just restart your laptop and then the problem should be solved. For future reference, don't install that driver unless you want your refresh rate getting fucked everytime you plug/unplug your laptop. I hope it helps!

Hi,
According to the asus website information below. It always could be related to our video card.

Also the settings below also will stop display settings from changing.

Press Windows key+R to launch Run window on your computer.

Type “Control Panel” then hit Enter to open Control Panel window.

In the Control Panel window, on the top-right corner, click on the search box and then type “intel“.

Now, click on “Intel HD Graphics” which will appear in the search results.

In the Intel HD Graphics Control Panel window, click on “Power” settings to modify it.

In the Power settings window, on the left-hand side of the window, click on “On Battery“.

Under ‘Display Power Saving Technology‘ settings, click on “Disable” to disable it.

Click on “Apply” to apply the settings on your computer.

Hello Carl, I am having the same problem, but I am using an AMD processor on my laptop. When i plug in charge it goes to 144fps and when i unplug it goes to 60fps. How to i make it constant. Please revert to this thread as soon as possible

@Carl Fan I couldn't find the intel HD Graphics in the control panel, and this flickering occurs in my Asus Vivo Book 14x while plug and unplugging the adapter. Refresh rate is automatically changing between 60hz and 90hz. Could you help me on this?
