Has anyone had this issue and if so, how do I resolve it?

Hi Triland,

Glad to hear Groups work on your side now. I'd like to make a summary about the case, so other community members who come across the thread will easily find the useful information:

============================

Issue description:

When we go to classic Office 365 admin center -> click groups, you will get an error message "The server was unable to process the request due to an internal error. For more information about the error, either turn on IncludeExceptionDetailInFaults (either from ServiceBehaviorAttribute or from the <serviceDebug> configuration behavior) on the server in order to send the exception information back to the client, or turn on tracing as per the Microsoft .NET Framework SDK documentation and inspect the server trace logs. "

Solution:

Our related team has fixed the issue from backend.

===========================

If you have any other questions, feel free to post a new thread and we will keep assisting you from there.

Regards,

Sky

    Hi John,

    Thanks for your information.

    The screenshot above indeed indicates that you are still using classic Admin center. As I mentioned above, every user who bought subscription from Microsoft directly has already switched to new admin center experience . If you make sure your subscription is bought from Microsoft directly, the issue is that you can't use New admin center. In this situation, please create a new thread, so our engineers can collect your tenant information to focus on your specific situation.

    If you bought the subscription from a partner (Not Microsoft directly), please be informed that they may have customized users' subscription. We suggest you seek help from them. If they can't figure it out, they will involve our related team to proceed.

    Note: as we have rolled out new Office 365 admin center experience to Office 365 users for a long time, we may not have the high priority to fix the issue in a classic Office 365 admin center.

    Regards,

    Sky

    Hi John,

    Are you still using group in classic Office 365 admin center?

    If yes, please be informed that we have released new Office 365 admin center experience to all users who bought Office 365 for Business subscription directly from Microsoft, which should have no issue on this. If you can only use classic admin center, it means you may bought subscription from partner. You need to seek help from them or let them open ticket directly to us, as they have done some customization to your Office 365 subscription.

    If it is not your scenario, please open a new thread, so we can focus on your specific situation.

    Regards,

    Sky

    We are experiencing the same issue:

    Message: The server was unable to process the request due to an internal error.

    Your request couldn't be completed. Please try again in a few minutes.
