Microsoft Access database compatibility issue: Database runs well on one computer but not on another!

I've developed an Access database using Access 2010 running on Windows 7 Professional with SP1 but it doesn't run properly on the customer's computer where Access 2010 is running on Windows 7 Home Premium.

The symptoms that I know of are that text boxes that are set, and represent, as flat on my computer represent as sunken on the customer's computer (not a critical symptom) and that the images on a continuous form do not show on the customer's computer, except one (which is a critical symptom).

I must get the images to show on each record as they do when I run the database on my computer.

I've compiled the database on the customer's computer and it compiled without an error, but I don't know what else to try.

The operating systems on both computers are 64-bit and the Office programs on both computers are 32-bit.

Any help/ideas etc. would be much appreciated.

    Hi Daniel,

Thanks for your recent thoughts on this problem. In fact, checking for that bad update was one of the things I did before posting.

I also should say that I think that the two versions of Access 2010 mentioned above are OK to run this database because I've actually seen the database running well on both versions.

    Regarding updating the video drivers:

Since having that suggestion I have made 5 attempts to get the OK from my customer to do that, but I still haven't got it. It is looking like it'll be Tuesday, at the earliest, before I can test that suggestion. Sigh.

Thanks again to everyone for taking the time to reply.

    Many thanks,

    Corsica

I'm just wondering since your client is past the 14.0.7160.5000 if he might have the BAD update (prior to it being pulled by MS) FMS reported and perhaps it could account for this, but this is just a wild guess with no basis in factual proof.

I've just checked - not the exact same version:

Version 14.0.7163.5000 on the development computer

Version 14.0.7177.5000 on the customer's computer

Thanks for your reply Daniel, and everyone else for theirs. Any suggestions regarding that the versions aren't exactly the same?

Still haven't checked how to update the video drivers, but am going to try to do that before finishing today.

    Many thanks,

    Corsica

So you can confirm that both machine have the exact same version (14.0.......) of Access running?

No, I'm certain the files paths to the images are right. - I've loaded the database onto another machine several times and seen it working. I have a means of updating the file paths to the images which seems to work just fine.

I'll look into maybe updating the video drivers.

Thanks to both of you for your replies.
