One Note - 502 error

When I try to access my notebooks, I get the following error message: 

502 - Web server received an invalid response while acting as a gateway or proxy server.

There is a problem with the page you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed. When the Web server (while acting as a gateway or proxy) contacted the upstream content server, it received an invalid response from the content server.

How can I access my notes?

Hi Andrew,

Thank you - I now have access through the desktop app. Signing in was a bit confusing as I have both a personal account and an Office 365 account, but sorted now.

Error 502 is a 'Bad Gateway' problem between Internet servers, so it may just get fixed without any further action. If it doesn't there are several things you can try, like emptying browser cache, clearing browser cookies and starting in safe mode. For more details see

Hi,

I have the same problem. OneNote was working fine yesterday. I have tried both Firefox and Chrome but neither give me access - I just get Error 502.

Where do I get the application?

Hi Mr Cole, we have also tried Firefox but get the same error, it works fine through the application but not online.

We are also getting the same error. 

Have tried Chrome, IE and Safari - same error off networked and a mobile device going through a different internet connection.

Only way to access is through application.

Must be a problem your end!

Hi We are currently experiencing the same issue with OneNote online and the 502 - Web server received an invalid response while acting as a gateway or proxy server.

We can open the OneNote files in the PC application but not the online version, this has only happened today it has been fine all week.
