Multiple select using Command on Mac is gone

Can someone explain (or suggest a fix) for why I can't multiple-select paragraphs using Control-Click on Mac ? I'm on the latest software and it's very frustrating as we use it to do our word counts from client's voice over scripts.  Can't see anything in the preferences to indicate a change.

    Hi Big Mouth Media,

To multi-select paragraphs on Office 2016 for Mac, please use Command key not **Control.**You can refer to the following steps:

1.Place your cursor in front of the first letter of the word, sentence, or paragraphs you want to select.

2.Click and hold the Command key while you drag your cursor to select the text you want.

Please let us know if you need further help.

    Best Regards,

    Zixuan
