Multiple select using Command on Mac is gone

Can someone explain (or suggest a fix) for why I can't multiple-select paragraphs using Control-Click on Mac ? I'm on the latest software and it's very frustrating as we use it to do our word counts from client's voice over scripts.  Can't see anything in the preferences to indicate a change.

Hi All,

The issue has been fixed in the Insider Fast version 15.40(170926) which isn't released.

To get on the Fast level, click Help > Check for Updates > Join the Office Insider program to get early access to new releases > Office Insider Fast.  For details, you may check What is Office Insider?

Regards,

Felix

Insider Fast builds are pre-beta releases. Yes, it is normal to find one thing fixed and 10 more things broken in Insider Fast builds. They're not for production use.

    The release progression is

Insider Fast - Walk on the wild side. Weekly (or even more often sometimes)

Insider Slow - Beta build. Monthly. Should be OK. Last chance to catch bugs before 1 week passes, then

General Release - Goes to everyone. If users of Insider Fast and Insider Slow did a good job of reporting bugs, should be trouble-free.

Thanks for this update which in theory has fixed the problem. However, Word has now become incredibly glitchy (e.g., my assigned keystrokes for diacritics work only half the time; and sometimes there is a mismatch between what I click to highlight and what actually gets highlighted). This is the first time I have used Insider Fast and I hope it was not a mistake.

Is it normal to experience clear failures such as these in these "Insider" releases? When will the real version be released?

    The progression of builds is:

Insider Fast = Pre-beta testing release. Bug fixes, new features, new bugs, all sorts of fun stuff going on here. Not for general release, these builds are for testing. They're weekly and sometimes even more often.

Insider Slow = This build will become the general release a week later if no major show-stoppers are found. In this case, it appears that the bug is fixed, so the next Insider Slow build will adopt the bug fix. These builds are monthly. Depending on the cutoff date the fix will be either in the very next Insider Slow or the one after. In general, these are safe builds, but there could be something odd that slips by (like the bug under discussion here).

General Release = Comes out a week after Insider Slow, and is also monthly. This is the most stable, reliable build and should be OK for everyone.

All the builds are staggered for release to manage the load on Microsoft servers, so there isn't a precise date or time for any of the various releases.

So when will this fix be available as a stable release?
