Access query formatting

I am having an issue formatting a Totals row in my Access query.  I have selected to average all the columns in my totals row, but is there a way to change the Total label to say "Average"?  I would also like to format the averages to one decimal place and I'm not seeing how to do this.   Thanks.

You should be able to "alias" any query column. "Average" isn't a particularly good name unless all users understand what value is being averaged. Average Shipping or Average Age might be more descriptive but it's your choice.

Most of us will display query results in a form where it is easy to format a control. You can also view the column properties in a query and set the format.

I'm not sure what "Alias"-ing a query column means.  All of my columns have titles, (TotalExited, TotalServed, TotalAcitve) by month.  I have the average of these totals at the bottom in a row called "Totals," which I can't change the name of.

Ultimately, I would like to use a report to display this data, which also doesn't seem to pull in the averages I have calculated at the bottom of each column, and I'm not sure why.

In a query you can modify some properties like the following:

Reports allow  you to show both details and totals by adding grouping levels.

Thank you for your quick responses.  I have tried to format accordingly.  I've attached the two pictures of what I have and am wondering why the bottom row still won't format correctly.  Additionally, the last two columns don't give me a formatting option for decimal places.

As per my screen shot, set your format to Standard and then set the decimal places.
