One Note: Section won't sync or delete; Error Code 0xE40200AA

I recently copied my OneNote Notebook files from the My Documents directory to One Drive in order to access My Notebook from other devices.

All sections transferred correctly except one (the one with the most data), and that section will not sync, nor can I delete it. Can you please help me either recover this data or delete this section please? Thanks.

    Hi Tyler,

    Thanks for your reply.

Have you tried my suggestion above to copy your notes into a new notebook? Can you delete the problematic notebook in OneNote online? If you mean that you can't sign in your account in that link, please share with me the error message you encountered again.

Besides, to help you troubleshoot this issue, please share with me screenshot of your OS version number and Office build number like below:

    Thanks,

    Neo

    Hi Tyler,

You can view all your notes in other devices via OneNote.

If you still want to copy your sections, as a workaround, I'd like to suggest you create a new notebook then copy the contents from the previous one then delete the problematic notebook in OneNote online.

Please have a try and share with me your reuslt.

If you still can't delete this problematic section, please share with me more info as below:

    1. The version number of your OS(Win+R>type CMD>OK) and Office(File>Account>Product Information).
    2. Screenshot of the error message you received.

    Thanks,

    Neo
