Hello,
I read several articles on websites. Keep Text Only in Paste option should remove own formatting. but in this example keep own format.
And Why in Merge Formatting doesn't similar surround text?
***Merge Formatting:***This option changes the formatting so that it matches the text that surrounds it.
But the Pasted text does not similar surrounds text and have the different format.

You've forgotten to the OP regarding this:
If you merge formatting it combines the source formatting with the destination format
With which algorithm?
