Good Day,

I have tried a simple test with three objects. Once selecting all three, the 'Group' function/command does not display.

Yes, I just noticed the same thing, Group was not always showing up in the right click context menu when I expect it.  Funny thing, with the same 2 objects selected, one time the group option displayed, another time it did not.  Go figure ...

But with the objects selected, click on the contextual tab that is displayed, ie the Shapes or Pictures tab and find the "Group" button

    Thanks 007,

I fortunately still have  2016 desktop MacOS version, and Im able to perform the 'group' function here.

Is this not a bug then in MS PowerPoint?

Maybe the Windows version is better.

    But thanks, all the same.

It may be a bug, or may simply be a matter of us not understanding a precise condition that is not being met.

    Hi Michael,

I have tested in latest version of Office 365 for business(16.26), and I can't repro the issue. The group option will be grey out in submenu when I select one shape, but the Group option will always show in the right-click menu.

Please update your Office 365 to latest version and test again in a new presentation.

Does the issue happen in all the presentation? Have you notice anything trigger the issue? (like same object)

    Regards,

    Eric

    Hi, Michael—

If any of the objects are there as a result of a placeholder in the master, then you won't be able to group them.

    Could that be the problem?
