When you say the issue can be fixed by the latest version, do you know for a fact that there is a fix for this contained in the latest version?  My spreadsheets are quite simple, no macros, containing only data and simple functions, add, subtrace multiply and divide.  This problem has plagued me and many other users for years, under many different threads that get closed out .  The problem is intermittent and usually I don't have time to make a video.  My thought is that Microsoft needs to look at the software and see how it can be confused by which spreadsheet is open.

    Hi Financial User,

Thanks for your updates. I have tested on my side trying to repro the issue under Excel 12026.20320 Monthly channel by open five workbooks at the same time: one with much data in it, contains a table with 100,000 +rows; One with 17 sheets in that workbooks; one is newly created with no data in it; One is download from online location. One contains Marco and functions in it. All the five workbooks have an add-in named “solver”. However, everything is OK on my side.

I totally understand the inconvenience caused by this issue when it happens, I would like to try my best to help you out. If it is convenient to you, could you please share me with some sample workbooks that I can test them on my side if the issue recurs? I will send you private message and you can upload files from it to me.

Besides, if you have any suggestions on Office, welcome to give feedback by click File>Feedback, which will reach the related team directly. We appreciate those suggestions that could make Office better.

    Best Regards,

    Clark
