Visual Basic option is grey

Hi,

In Visual Basic, under Tools, the References option is greyed out.   I need to choose it--- how do I fix it so that I can choose that option?  Thank you.

Ok.  I had done that previously, I thought.  Now I'm getting an error regarding "GetDatafromMyClipboard" in Visual Basic, highlighted yellow.  But I was able to work around it...

Open your word document normally and enable macros, go to "Change macro settings in the Trust Center" in the link below:

So in that mode I was able to click on References and add the library that I needed.   But now what?  Macros are disabled, Changes have been made to the Normal template, it tells me, and now I'm back to where I started.....?
