OneNote Error Code 0xE000078b (Server Timeout)

Just installed OneNote android app on new Motorola One Vision phone. The app seems to have installed and accepted login but then attempts to organise itself and returns the "OneNote Error Code 0xE000078b (Server Timeout)" error message.

I've tried several times with no change.  Also logged on to OneNote on laptop and synched.  The app is working fine on my windows laptop and iphone

OneDrive status is good.

The Microsoft resolution at <https://support.office.com/en-us/article/resolve-the-0xe000078b-server-timeout-error-in-onenote-630327af-ec7b-4904-9ffa-90eadca8ba57> is not helpful!

Any ideas please?

I wonder if it will give you the same issue on a different android phone. Are you able to try? Otherwise the only thing I can think of is a corrupted note that is causing issues (perhaps a sync issue because of a duplicate conflict) or is your one note empty?

Thanks for this but it hasn't worked.  How frustrating!  I've tried the clear cache option several times, also with a phone restart afterwards - no change.  In addition, I have reinstalled the app multiple times.  I've further changed the permissions within the app options in every variety available.  Again - no change.  I do notice that this query comes up regularly on the forums but no-one really seems to offer an option that works.  Thanks again, if you can offer any more advice, I'd be very grateful

    Hi Lelakigemuk,

Can you try and restart your phone and see if it still happens?

    Thanks
