Removing shading from bullet points

I'm working on a document and using numbered bullets.

When I go into the tabbed bullet (i.e. 1.6.1), a shaded background is automatically added, which I do not need. 

How do I turn the shading off please?

Microsoft 365 and Office | Word | For home | Windows
