Try the following: On the Layout tab, click Columns and then click More Columns. Click to select the "One" option under "Presets" (even if the option appears to be selected already) and confirm with OK. Does that correct the display so that the document can be viewed in Print Layout view?
All word docs opening only in Web Layout. Cannot create or see in print Layout view
Opening an existing doc, or creating a new doc - same issue.
The doc will not work in Print Layout viewing mode. I am at 100%, only 1 column with a page of narrow margins. If I click Web Layout view, it will show the doc but in a strange and hard to read format with 22" of width and not respecting the settings for the format requested.
The issue is I have a large doc to create. I create and edit in multiple page viewing mode at about 60% viewing which gives me the view I need to work on multiple pages at once. I need to see the document format of multiple pages as I work.
How do I correct what is going on with MS Word? I am using MS Office 365 ProPlus, ver.1908

2020-06-24T15:23:22+00:00 I tried this and no changes. It will not over ride this wonky format. I even tried with paste A (text only) to no avail.
This is such a frustration point. I am at my wits ends with microsoft. :(
