sort grouped rows in excel

i have such a strange case!

i have a table with grouped rows.

normally i sort, and each group remains together as one block.

suddenly today, the sort action, sorts all of the rows as if they are not grouped.

so all the groups are broken and won't stay together anymore.

this started today, and moreover - this is happening only in one of the tabs, while the other tabs continue to work well.

when i copy the good tab to another tab or new excel file, it still works well with sort.

when i write a new table in a new tab or even new sheet, it won't sort well anymore.

but i didn't do anything different that may explain the difference.

so in other words, starting today - for a certain tab, and for new tabs, excel stopped considering the grouped rows when i sort. and for other tabs it still continue to consider it well.

isn't that strange or what?

Actually there is something you can do to contact the developers. Submit a "Feedback" to MS.

********************** (Feedback Hub) Send Feedback to MS Developers

“Official” MS does not pay much attention to this forum. However, you now can send your complaints and feature requests directly to MS developers and managers using one of the 4 possible (parallel) “Feedback” mechanisms described in this link:

Please post a share link to your feedback, back here, so other people who find your question here will be able to vote for your feedback and add their comments to it.

    i did via "user voice"

but i am very sure nobody will read or consider seriously.

the only way for such case is personal connection with decision maker at development department.

i went through an hour of conversation with support rep., screen sharing, only to describe the problem and prove it is not related to support level.

you need to see all the options until you are convinced this is really not a matter of support level.

I agree, a personal contact is much better to a simple text submission. But, at this point in time all we have is the feedback process.  I have seen confirmations from independent sources that MS does look at all feedbacks, at least once.
