I am formatting a Word document and would like to be able to duplicate multiple split cells and their format/content into another table cell.  In the picture below, for example, I would like to copy and paste the date cells (red circle) into the areas with the red check marks:

I have tried selecting the 10 cells and then using different copy/paste options to no avail.  Any help would be appreciated and save me a ton of time!

Yes, I saw that effect as well. That's why I suggested a nested table.

You could try selecting them and using Ctrl+Drag to copy and move. Or, instead of splitting the cell, you could try creating a nested table. https://www.howtogeek.com/howto/microsoft-office/nesting-a-table-inside-a-table-in-word-2007/ is written for Word 2007 but should work in any Ribbon version.

Thank you vey much for the response! I am able to put a table within a table, however, this option has not met my need to be able to then change the size of the table within the cell.  As I make the documents that need a formatted date field, the cells are different sizes according to the document being created.  Is there an additional option for resizing the cell?  (when I drag the table line that surrounds the inner table of the cell, I cannot then resize the inserted table to match the outer cell size)  Does that make sense?

I cannot close the gap indicated by the red, double-ended arrow.  I need to resize the cells to allow for more signature room and filling in the date fields.
