Edit in grid view function in SharPoint

Hi Microsoft,

I have grant the permission (edit) to new user, I have no idea why he don't have "edit in grid view" function as below.

Could you please advised how to set up it?

Microsoft 365 and Office | SharePoint | For business | Windows

    Furthur to the option  "edit in grid view" on sharepoint online, can I modify the view to:

    1. Make Grid lines thicker and thus more visible

    2. Customize column width, to make the view readable

    Hi May,

    I would like to ask whether this issue is solved?

    I have exactly the same issue as Vera described:

    I am owner of a SharePoint online site and I gave access to others to work together with me on one of the document libraries.

    I can see the 'edit in grid view' option, but it's not available for them. I gave them the maximum permission level, and it's still not visible.

    As Vera described, when changing from one view to the other the button appears for 1 second but then immediately disappears.

    I attached the header what I can see and also what other users can see in the document library.
