Microsoft 365 Developer Program - Development Activity

Hello!

I just recently obtained a Microsoft 365 developer subscription to be able to learn how to develop for the Microsoft 365 suite of products and I had some questions about this. I read up on the FAQ section / terms of use for this subscription and its renewal and I had a question.

What counts as development activity? I know that it's supposedly disclosed in the terms of use in terms of what counts, but I couldn't find any excerpt in the terms of service that sufficiently answered my question. I'm trying to learn how to develop for and implement M365 solutions, as someone who primarily works with them from an IT operations perspective. I will be working on applications that utilize the Microsoft APIs and development resources, but they'll more be for learning purposes / internal usage. Does this count towards the telemetry/algorithms that are used in order to track the usage of the M365 account for me to be eligible for renewal, or do I need to use my M365 developer account for something else as well to be eligible to keep it?

According to my research, there is an official document shows that “Your activity in the Developer Program and on your developer subscription determine whether you are actively developing and whether your subscription should be extended.”, except this, since we are office business support engineers, we do not have much information about it.

Meanwhile, from FAQ, it mentioned “If you have issues setting up your subscription, see the following support resources: Stack Overflow or Visual Studio customer service” For your better service, we recommend you seek help from these dedicated support channels.
