Having trouble with adding editable text boxes in PowerPoint

Hello,

I've been trying to add in editable text boxes to a presentation in PowerPoint using the developer tools, but when I add a single text box it shows up as two during the live presentation with the actual editable one super-imposed above the text box I want (see attached screenshot).

How do I go about fixing this issue? Do I need to change something under text box properties?

Thanks very much,

Sarah S

    Hi John Wilson,

    How would I go about switching from semi annual update to monthly? Is that within an office software (i.e. office updates)?

    Thanks,

    Sarah

    Yes this is exactly the issue I am having, only the duplication in presenter view onto whatever screen I'm extending to; is this an issue with my monitor?

    Thanks,

    Sarah

    Hi Sarah,

    Sorry to hear that our suggestions don't work for you.

    As we noticed that John SR has the same issue and solved it via update channel to Monthly.

    If you want to update the channel, we suggest you contact your admin to confirm if you can do it.

    Then your admin can go to admin center>Show all > Settings > Org settings > Services > Office software download settings, and then choose the Semi-Annual Channel

    If you are a personal user, you can update channel via the following steps directly:

    1. Please download the latest version of the Office deployment tool from the Microsoft Download Center.
    2. Then copy the following content into the configuration file:

    <Configuration>

            <Updates Channel="Monthly" />

        </Configuration>

    3. From a command prompt, run the ODT executable in configure mode with a reference to the configuration file you saved. In the following example, the configuration file is named configuration.xml:

    setup.exe /configure configuration.xml

    1. After running the command, you should see the Office installation start (unless you set display level to none). After installation is complete, the command prompt will display "Products configured successfully."
