Cannot change visible cells of an excel spreadsheet embedded in word

Hi, 

the anwers provided here does not work for me.

I get the same behavior with Edit or Open from the context menu of an embedded spreadhseet (created via Insert/Excel...).

Any clue?

My version is 

EDIT: with my version it looks like the Crop function from the context menu works (pretty slow and clunky but it works).

    Thank you for your reply. Here is one more thing I would like to confirm with you. As you mentioned, your device is a company PC and updates are continuously applied, which it sounds like your company is managing all company PCs centrally, such as Group Policy. If so, have you checked with your other colleagues with same Office apps version on their PC and see whether the same scenario occur in their version. Perhaps, there might be some group policy settings results this behavior in your company PC.

    If the same scenario doesn’t occur with your other colleagues in their company PCs. This unexpected behavior most likely is caused by your Office apps in your PC which it most likely encounters some unexpected issue.

    Hence, I suggest you can give a shot with above methods to fix the Office apps at your convenience, such as Online repair, Office Safe Mode, Windows clean boot and see the results.
