Bullets not formatting correctly

Hi,

Recently this issue has started to happen. When I type an intro line for a bullet list followed by the first line that will actually be the bullet point, then attempt to make that first list line the first bullet point, the bullet appears above for the intro line, not the bullet,

Its a real pain to fix as I have to delete the returns to make it one line, press Enter to create a second bullet point, then remove the bullet from the first line.

I'm not using Shift + Enter or anything like that after the intro line, just a regular Enter. I don't believe I have changed anything in the Normal template or Outlook either, but that is possible.

Any advice on how to stop it from happening?

Thanks, Andy

As Doug wrote, although the editor in Outlook is similar to Word (with similar formatting options), they are no longer one and the same (and haven't been in years). For example, Outlook has its own global template, called NormalEmail.dotm.

What do you see if you display nonprinting marks in an Outlook e-mail message, as Doug suggested?
