Excel in Sharepoint view size

How do I change the view size of an excel worksheet while working online in Sharepoint?

On the desktop version, I can do this by using the % slide bar at the bottom right but I don't see something similar in Sharepoint.

There is also a zoom field in the View menu on the desktop version which I am not seeing in Sharepoint online either.

Am I just stuck with a document with a view much larger than I need/want it to be?

    Hi CDV_JHC,

    Thanks for the information.

I am guessing your account is set to standard releases which means you’ll receive the updates when they're released broadly to all customers. To confirm, I checked two different user accounts in my tenant, one is set to Standard and another to Targeted releases.

The user whose account is set to Standard release does not have zoom either at the bottom right corner or in View menu, as shown below.

User’s account set to Targeted releases, can see zoom option in both the places, screenshot in my first reply.

Standard release: This is the default option; users receive the latest updates when they're released broadly to all customers.

Targeted release: With this option, users can be the first to see the latest updates and help shape the product by providing early feedback. Tenant admins can choose to have individuals, or the entire organization receive updates early.

According to this support article, Zoom button in the menu ribbon under the View tab is mentioned as Coming Soon. I also checked What's new in Excel for the web which lists all the features that are released but Zoom is not mentioned in the list. I believe, it is not released for all the customers yet. But don’t worry, as this feature is available to Targeted release users, I am sure it will be released for other users soon.

Meanwhile, please use Ctrl + mouse wheel to zoom in/out of the workbook.

    Kind Regards,

    Neha

    Hi CDV_JHC,

I understand you are working in Excel for the web, and you wanted to adjust the view size of the workbook in browser.

Similar to Excel app, we can adjust view size in Excel for the web, please check at the bottom right corner, you will see (+) and (-) sign to increase and decrease the view size, you can also adjust from the View menu, as shown below.

If anything, you can always use the browser zoom feature to zoom in and out. If you are using an external mouse, to zoom in and out using the mouse, hold down the [Ctrl] key while you turn the mouse wheel. Each click, up or down, increases or decreases the zoom factor by 10%.

Let me know if you still need help.

    Regards,

    Neha

    Hi CDV_JHC,

May I know if you created the workbook or is shared by someelse? For the test purpose, please create a new workbook in a library and then check if you see Zoom option.

    Regards,

    Neha

    Hi CDV_JHC,

Also, click Help>Keyboard shorcuts, type Zoom in search box, see if it shows the shorcut.

    Regards,

    Neha
