Azure Synapse Analytics SQL Pools Monitoring

Serverless SQL 216 MVP

Hi,

Within Azure Synapse Analytics studio, on Monitor > SQL Pools tab, on the Ended Requests section, it seems to be showing the exact same number for Completed, Failed, and Cancelled. If I run a query it will be shown in all 3 categories.

As per my repro, I just ran one sample SQL query and it had run successfully.

But when I checked the monitoring tab => Ended request it shows Completed 1, Failed 1, and Cancelled 1 which is wired behaviour. I should show as completed 1.

Currently, I don't have any Failed/Cancelled query in the SQL pools.

Could you please try it from your end and share if you any issues in the monitoring behaviour?

I ran some queries that failed due to things like “invalid path” but they don’t appear in the ended requests section. I can only ever see Successful
