Excel Autofill not working

Hello, I am having trouble with the Autofill feature on the Excel Desktop App. I am a 365 subscriber.

Autofill does not work despite the checkbox being ticked. I have read lots of troubleshooting tips, changed the language settings on the app and system, tried different languages, right and left-clicking the handle but no luck. In addition, Data Sorting does not work on the desktop app either. Not sure if that's a related issue. Also tried creating a custom list - that option does not seem available - it just clicks back to the top. Happy to uninstall and reinstall the desktop app if necessary.

Any advice would be most welcome.

    Hi Daniel,

The 'box with a lightening flash in it' is the Quick Analysis feature, you can see the introduction if you hover the mouse over the icon. It appears when you select a range of cells.

Reference: Choose your chart using Quick Analysis - Excel

The Quick Analysis box is different from the Auto Fill Options box, and the Auto Fill Options box only appears after we select a cell or a range of cells, then drag the fill handle.

    Best Regards,

    Hi Arck,

Thanks for your last response and the link to the videos.

Here is a screenshot of my Excel: As you can see, I don't have all those options you have on your example:

(The autofill box is ticked in the Advanced settings)

    Regards,

    Daniel

    Hi Daniel,

According to the screenshot you provided, please try to follow the suggestion mentioned in Solved - Excel 2019 - Fill series disappeared - Microsoft Community to return Excel to "factory settings".

    Best Regards,
