Charts not updating when data is updated

Hello,

I have built an Excel dashboard template that has 46 charts referencing cells in a table on the same worksheet. I made a slight change to the cells the charts reference for the title of the charts (the questions in a survey) to remove the question number. Of the 46 charts, 16 of them are not updating with the new title. I have tried Fn-9 to recalculate the whole workbook, Fn-Shift-9 to recalculate the worksheet, I have saved as and reopened, restarted my computer and reopened Excel, and nothing seems to update the charts. I made sure the Excel settings have calculation options set to "Automatic" and "recalculate workbook before saving" is also checked. This is maddening.

I am using Excel for Mac v16.59 on a Macbook Pro with MacOS Monterey 12.2.1.

Can anyone help me figure out how to get these charts to update? Thank you in advance for your help!

    Dear Jess,

Thanks for your updates and confirmation.

I have seen your file in the private message and I have removed the file link.

As there are also some screenshots related to the file showed with French in the previous replies, may I know whether they have some private information needed to be removed? If yes, I'll remove them as well.

    Thanks for your understanding.

    Cliff

Thank you. There is no private information in those screenshots so you don't need to remove them.

Unlike Cliff, I had no trouble downloading the example file. Don't worry about the settings you put onto the download file because they were correct. I even posted a screen shot from your workbook, which proves I was able to download the file.

I looked through your file and observe you carefully and thoroughly removed information that would be personal or confidential. You even went so far as to change the user to a generic: Microsoft Office User.

I don't know why Cliff thought it would be OK to change your post and remove your link. I do not think removing your link was OK.

At any rate, I looked through the charts and I don't see any that have English language headings. Can you help me find a specific chart example? Which tab and where on the sheet is the chart you showed in your screenshot?

I'm using US English as my Mac OS system default. Perhaps there's a language localization issue, but I am using version 16.61 (beta channel). Try updating to version 16.60 when it becomes available to you and see if that changes the situation.
