Sync problem with Sharepoint Folder – not status next to files

Hi,

I work with OneDrive / Sharepoint.
I synced the folder structure of our team with the onedrive app (online sharepoint 'sync' button)
Worked now for weeks, but actual, the Online-Status of the folder files is gone, no green checkmarks, no cloud symbols.
So I think the Link is missing.

How can I solve the issue?
Why is this happen regularly?

I had the same trouble in summer, therefore I oversynced the folder again,
followed by resyncing tons of GB (files that still in place, but where resynced) and that took me hours.

Is there a simple way, to reconnect?

Best Robert

    Dear Jazlyn,

    Thanks for your help.
I recognized by coincidence today that is working again.
I have the status icons in the finder again.

I remembered that I did an update and restart on friday, so maybe something in the system changed or updated itself, that it is working again.
(it was just strange by the start when suddenly the icons disappeared, only the active or clicked (downloaded ones on the server) were shown as available.

    But now it works again.
Bless restarts and updates in the background system.

    Best ontherun

    Ho Jazlyn,

Im just installed the latest update as a first step.
Seems to be fine verything, the Status windos says, all connectec and all synched.
BUT, I dont see it in the finder.
So at the moment all the files are online and synched, but I have no visual feedback with the status icons (check mark, cloud, red cross) in the Finder.
So maybe its somewhere in the intersection between the Finder and Mac and OneDrive?

    Hi Robert,

    Thank you for the reply.

Per your reply, it seems that OneDrive is syncing without any problem. However, in the OneDrive sync folder, the status of files didn't show next to file names.

If you try to unlink OneDrive first, and then re-link OneDrive to a different location, will the same problem happen?

    Best regards,

    Jazlyn

    Hi Robert,

Sorry for the inconvenience the problem caused for you.

Based on your description, OneDrive will unsync automatically after several weeks.

Here are some suggestions for you, and I hope they can help you:

Please make sure OneDrive is up to date. You may install the latest version from the article: OneDrive release notes.

    1. Please try the below steps to clear OneDrive cache:
    2. Please unlink your account and quit OneDrive.
      1. Quit all Office apps.
      2. Open Keychain Access.app.(Applications > Utilities > Keychain Access.app or type Keychain into Launchpad search)
      3. Search All Items for OneDrive, Office, outlook.
      4. Delete com.microsoft.OneDrive-mac.HockeySDK AND OneDrive Cached Credential.
      5. Open Finder > Click Command + Shift + G > Enter ~/Library/Containers > move the Com folders related to OneDrive to the desktop.
      6. Restart and set up OneDrive, etc. (Note: choose another location to store your OneDrive files).
    3. You can try to reset the OneDrive app to check if there is any improvement.
      1. Quit OneDrive. (Select the cloud icon in the top tray, the select Settings > Quit OneDrive.)
      2. Find OneDrive in your Applications folder.
      3. Right-click OneDrive and select Show Package Contents.
      4. Browse to the Contents > Resources folder.
      5. Double-click ResetOneDriveApp.command (or ResetOneDriveAppStandalone.command, if you're using the standalone app).
      6. Start OneDrive and finish the setup process.

If the problem persists, could you please provide a screenshot of your OneDrive version information (open OneDrive > click OneDrive on the top menu bar > About)?

    Best regards,

    Jazlyn
