The orientation button is missing from my Excel tab

I'm having issues with the text aligning vertically in excel spreadsheet. It appears the way to fix this is to align text horizontally via the Orientation button under the "Alignment" section. However, I can't find the orientation button and when I try to search for it nothing comes up. Any suggestions?

Also, I'm experiencing issues with this support platform. If I respond to your message and click on the box that says "notify me when someone responds to this post" then the system fails to take and send the response. I have spent the last 15 minutes trying to submit my response only to have it freeze and force me to refresh the window. I restarted my computer to no avail until I unclicked the box and it finally went through.

    Dear G,

Thanks for your updates adn letting us know the current situation in your environment.

I did a test again in Excel for the web and I can type normally in my environment.

May I know whether you can type normally after you create a new file in Excel for the web?

If it is convenient, I suggest you clear the browser cache, close the browser and re-log into Excel for the web with your account to do a test to see if the issue goes away in your environment.

    Sincerely,

I just spoke to support. The orientation button is missing from my Excel tab as well. I have it in an older version of Office 2016. The support rep determined that it is a feature that is behind the paywall of the online version of Office. It is not included in the free version. They assured me that if I were to pay for the online version it would be included, as well as other features such as the grammar checker. Hope this helps to answer a few people's questions because the threads I found were locked and unanswered.
