Excel Custom Headers

I have a custom header. I placed the text in the 'Right Section'. I'm using standard letter paper. The last character of the text ends 1" from the right edge of the physical paper. I'd like to move the text about 1/2" further to the right. The margins are all 0.17.

I know the printer can handle it because the top row of the spreadsheet prints a character 1/2" from the right edge of the paper with no problem.

Thank you.

In the Header/Footer section check "Align with page margins":

    That option was already selected.

I was very clear in my original post. I just want Excel to end the header text a little to the right than what does. No errors are involved.

    Hi

Thank you for posting your query. My name is Clarence, I'll be more than happy to assist you with your concern.

Go to the Insert tab > Text group and click the Header & Footer button. This will switch the worksheet to Page Layout view.

Now, you can type text, insert a picture, add a preset header or specific elements in any of the three Header boxes at the top of the page. By default, the central box is selected

If you wish the header to appear in the top left or top right corner of the page, click the left or right box and enter some information there.
When finished, click anywhere in the worksheet to leave the header area. To exit the header box without keeping the changes, press Esc.
