Excel Custom Headers

I have a custom header. I placed the text in the 'Right Section'. I'm using standard letter paper. The last character of the text ends 1" from the right edge of the physical paper. I'd like to move the text about 1/2" further to the right. The margins are all 0.17.

I know the printer can handle it because the top row of the spreadsheet prints a character 1/2" from the right edge of the paper with no problem.

Thank you.

    That option was already selected.

    Any other ideas?

I do not, nor will I ever, use one drive to allow anyone access to my data or anywhere near my computer. I've been in this business longer than most of you have been alive. My first PC was a TRS-80 in 1979. Call me paranoid if you want, but one drive is out of the question.

I'm willing to email the file to someone if that will help.

I'm disappoint that the community software doesn't allow for the uploading of files directly. Most other tech support sites I access have that ability.

    Ok, let's try this.

Here's a picture of the 'print preview':

I had to use 'Snip & Sketch' to capture part of the window, save it do my hard drive, click on the Image button above to upload it.

It sure would have been nicer if I could just use Ctrl-C/Ctrl-V.

Anyway, you now see my picture. You see ====> printing further to the right than 'Page : 1'. Proving that Excel knows where the right side margin is but it just won't print the header right up to the margin.

    Thank you.

    Hi,

    1. In the Page Layout ribbon, click on the tiny grey arrow at the bottom right corner of the Page Setup group.
    2. Go to the “Header/Footer” tab.
    3. Click on “Custom Header…”.
    4. Excel provides the important functions as buttons: Page numbers, total number of pages, date and time, file path, workbook name and worksheet name.
    5. If you want to show the date on the left section, click into the text field and then click on the date button above.
