I am trying to export a generated file in my Access Program to Excel. Had no issues until last weeks update.

Code has not changed -- I can export to Word and Pdf still but getting an Error to Excel with Visual Basic Code Syntax Error.

Is anyone else having this issue?

Any thoughts on how to manipulate the issue

Thank you

Michelle

MSFT addresses this issue in this article https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/error-when-trying-to-open-an-accde-mde-file-created-in-a-different-version-of-access-f4cd36cd-549e-42ba-b75a-dfe964294a81  Looks like they expect to release a fix on August 2.

I was able to temporarily resolve the issue by rolling back to the original installation of Office 2016 and am reinstalling the updates now. If this article is correct, I should be able to remove KB5002112 to resolve the issue until the update is released.

    Dear Meshice,

    We apologize for the inconvenience.

If you are using Office 2016 MSI, as TheGreenhorse shared, you may try to roll back to previous version of Office: How to revert to an earlier version of Office (microsoft.com)

And we suggest you use the previous version as a temporarily workaround and wait for the fix on August 2.

    Thanks for your understanding!

    Sincerely,

I am getting this error too. We are using

    at work.

Our code has not changed. Our IT guy reinstalled Access. But it still does work. We use Access heavily in the Accounting Department. It guy is always trying to move use away from Access. Accounting department finds Access extremely useful and we can write payroll queries and reports, keeping employee data confidential within the department. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Same issue for our team; screenshot attached. Our version is showing release 2202 (MC 365 MSO version 2022 build 16.0.14931.20602) but this error showed for us all starting last week. Our system administrator controls the updates so I cannot for an update. Any idea on a fix?Image

I am also having an issue with exporting to excel. However it is with Access 2019. I just did a fresh install of windows, office and access since we still have several computers that it still works on, and several that it does not. Will the August 2 patch be for all versions?
