Hello, I want to create a table with a round corner. However, I don't know how to do that. Could you help me? Thanks!

The following effect is not what I want. I don't want each cell to have a round corner.

Microsoft 365 and Office | Visio | For home | Windows

    Use the Line Options.

    Image

At the bottom of the Line Menu, This will give you a dialog to select one of the Rounding presets. You can use set the rounding size, but the presets give examples of what the values will look line.

    Image

You can then play with the rounding size to fine tune it. This sets the line style of the shape, so I usually take it one step further and go to the Developer tab and chose Options -> Union. Make sure the rectangle is alone, other wise you make get unsatisfactory results.

If you are familiar with the Shapesheet, the rounding will change a value is a cell,

the Union will add new rows to the Geometry section.

    will change to

So, if you do not mind All corners being rounded, stick with the Rounding setting.

    Hi zhenling-cn,

Thank you for posting your query in our community.

Per your description, you want to make outer corners rounded in table in Visio.

I researched a lot, however, I could not find any related article or out-of-box way to meet your requirement. Given this situation, we do understand the inconvenience the problem caused for you. We recommend that you submit requirement for this feature in this Visio · Community (microsoft.com) and many members who has the same requirement with you will vote it in the future.

A workaround I tested on my side is that you could create this table in Word(remove the outside borders for the table >  Overlay the table with a Rectangle with rounded corners > Set the Rectangle Area fill to None) and then insert as object into Visio.

    Thanks for understanding.

    Best regards,

    Jazlyn

    Actually, I reread your post.

What you need is, if your table was a collection of eight rectangles that you applied rounding too...

Add a ninth rectangle that is the size of the table and apply rounding to it.

Then align your original table, without the rounding with this new rounded rectangle, select all of them and chose Fragment from the Developer -> Operations menu. Then select the corner bits and delete them. you will then end up with

in my case, nine rectangles with the corner cells rounded.

If you want a shape with some rounded corner, make a copy of the shape, align them, round the corners, Developer -> Operation -> Fragment. Then only delete the corner fragments you want rounded. Select the shape and the surviving corners and use Developer -> Operations -> Union. This will restore the square corners you want to keep.
