Hello,
So the issue is not Excel I believe, its that SharePoint particular document library which is not allowing excel files to open in Client application. I think there is something not setup in the settings for that document library, because when I move that file to another document library I am able to open it perfectly fine.
Please share your thoughts.
Thanks,
Gitanjali
Hi Gitanjali,
Thanks for sharing the update. Totally agree with your thought.
If issue only happens in one particular library, the fault should be on the library side. It might be the link is broken. Quick fix/testing is to move it to another new created library.
I will mark your reply as a quick fix for such issue so other users facing the same issue can benefit from it. Again, thanks for sharing your solution in the community.

Hello,
I consider the solution to this issue is to keep the file name short and move the file to top if still face the same issue
