I'm reading licenses and I'm still not sure. I'm looking for simple answer: is it possible to debug application (C++ MFC) in customers environment using MFC140D.DLL at theirs Virtual Machine and temporary copied application debug files?
I read:

Given that in the second article linked, it says:
You may deploy debug versions of applications and Visual C++ DLLs only to your other computers, for the sole purpose of debugging and testing the applications on a computer that does not have Visual Studio installed.
I'd read that as saying you can do what you need for the purpose of debugging your application. That would seem to be the common sense approach. However, I'm not a a lawyer!
I'm not a lawyer either, but it seems to me that a customer's computer (real or VM on their computer) would not be one of "your other computers".
Yes, me too and I still haven't received a strict answer even on the hotline.
"Some Utilities by their nature may make it possible for others to access devices on which the Utilities are installed."
"Remote Tools for Visual Studio 2019 enables app deployment, remote debugging, remote testing, performance profiling, and unit testing on computers that do not have Visual Studio installed."
They could loan it to you for the period of debugging :)
Looks like the lawyers need to line up for this one. Can a VM containing licensed software be conveyed (by sale. loan or otherwise) to a developer for testing purposes?
Maybe the customer could qualify to obtain VS 2019 Community or otherwise install a Trial version of VS 2019 which would provide them the tools needed to support remote debugging. Even if their version of VS was installed on a different system the remote debugging tools, and debug versions of dlls could then be installed in their test VM.
