On my "immune" Mac with Ventura (latest), 16.69 works fine with Stocks data.
I'm guessing I'm "immune" because I installed Office 365 years before the Stocks problem started, and a new Mac doesn't have the Stocks-problem "antibodies."

Data Types are currently not working as expected for all users of Microsoft Excel. The work-around I recommend is to revert to version 16.64.
If you are affected and haven't already done so, please take a moment to notify Microsoft that you are affected by this problem. The way to do it is to use the Menu Bar and choose Help > Feedback > I Don't Like Something. Microsoft uses the Squeaky Wheel method to prioritize bug fixes. The more reports, the higher up the priority list the bug gets. Please do this from the current update of Excel before reverting to 16.64.
To revert to version 16.64:
Use the Menu Bar and choose Help > Check for Updates to launch AutoUpdate
In AutoUpdate, set updates to Manual to prevent AutoUpdate from automatically updating after you revert to the older build.
In Finder, navigate to the Applications folder
Right-click on Microsoft Excel.app and choose Move to Trash
Restart your Mac
Empty the Mac OS Trash
Use this installer to install build 16.64 of Microsoft Excel: Excel

There are third-party solutions available. I don't know which ones are great and which ones are less good. I'm hoping people will try them out and reply here with their results and recommendations.
On the Insert tab of the Ribbon choose Add-ins > Get Add-ins.
In the resulting dialog enter the word Stock in the Search field then click the spyglass icon. There are a lot of add-ins available. Let's chat about them in this thread.

Yes, unfortunately we do share the issues with Excel and One Drive. I do not know if both of these work properly for non-Apple devices, but clearly they do not for Macs. One Drive is useless. If you cannot count on integrity of your files and data, it cannot be used. If there were not good alternatives (iCloud, Dropbox, etc.) I would be complaining more about it, especially since we pay for it to work. I did go through a round of support a couple years back, and gave up. Microsoft does not seem willing or able to address One Drive problems.
Excel is a different story. I have built up a lot based on it, including custom macros. When everything works, it is still the best game in town. Now we just need everything to work. Get this problem fixed - without breaking something else!
Thank you. I tried your workaround (keyword: a workaround, so please, Microsoft, fix this ASAP), and it seems to work.
Again, thank you.
Confirming that Excel 16.69 also doesn't work for me; same error persists on the second open of Excel and from then onwards.
It is extremely unlikely that this is a version issue and much more likely that this is a system file that gets corrupted upon exiting the program. Unfortunately, no one has identified that file or how to fix it once the corruption occurs. But waiting for a new version to fix this is like waiting for Godot.
