When adding to a bulleted list while tracking changes, the last untracked number is treated as a deletion. Is there a way to stop this?

Why does line 3 show as an insertion when tracking the changes? All I did was hit "Enter" and type in the sentence for line 4. The strikethrough of the number 3 doesn't makes sense.

You're welcome, and I understand your concern. Yes, when you turn off the tracking of changes to add to the list, Word will not track the new number or bullet as a change. This is a limitation of the software and unfortunately, there is no way to change this behavior.

However, if it's important to track the new number or bullet as a change, you can manually add it as a comment or note in the document. To do this, simply select the new number or bullet point, right-click and select "New Comment" or "New Note." This will create a comment or note in the margin that highlights the change and allows you to provide additional information or context.

If you have any other questions or need assistance with anything, please don't hesitate to let me know. It will be my pleasure to Assist you.

    Best Regards, Sneha
