For this to work, use the "Match case" option in the expanded Find & Replace dialog box.
Find and Replace in Word not working
I am trying to use the 'Find and Replace' facility in a Word document. The machine tells me it has replaced 24 occurrences but nothing has changed in the document. I have used this many times before and never had any trouble, so am completely mystified. I have even tried saving the document with another name and then reopening it but the result is the same. The breadcrumb line has 'compatibility mode' in it, but don't know if that is relevant.

2023-03-03T10:28:17+00:00 I was trying to replace U3A with u3a. I got a message saying it had made 24 replacements, but they did not appear in the text. I tried it in another document altogether, and found it would replace u3a with U3A OK but not the reverse!
