How to fix Excel spreadsheet that prints one page and stops

I have a spreadsheet that is 12 two-sided pages. When I try to print, it prints the 12th page and stops; will not print anything further. I'm not getting error messages at all; it simply stops after the one page. I've tried everything with both Excel and the printer itself, but nothing has fixed it. I've narrowed it down that it is a problem with this specific spreadsheet; I created a 'gibberish' test sheet of 12 two-sided pages and it printed fine. Does anyone have suggestions of other things I can check/fix? Is this spreadsheet maybe damaged in some way and if so how would I determine that and most important how can I fix it?

If it's relevant: I'm using Excel in Windows 10 on an HP laptop and an HP all-in-one printer.

TIA for any help!

    Hi Cara

I'm AnnaThomas and I'd be happy to help you with your question. In this Forum, we are Microsoft consumers just like yourself.

If you have tried some troubleshooting and the problem persists, it is likely that there is a problem with the specific spreadsheet file. Here are a few more things you can try:

Copy and paste the data into a new workbook: Sometimes, copying and pasting the data from the problematic spreadsheet into a new workbook can resolve any issues with the file. Open a new workbook, copy the data from the old file, and then paste it into the new workbook. Try printing from the new file.

Check for hidden rows or columns: Hidden rows or columns may be causing the printing issue. Unhide any hidden rows or columns by going to Home > Format > Hide & Unhide > Unhide Rows or Unhide Columns.

Save the file in a different format: Save the problematic spreadsheet in a different format such as CSV or TXT, and then reopen and try printing again.

I hope this helps ;-), let me know if this is contrary to what you need, I would still be helpful to answer more of your questions.

    Best Regards,

    AnnaThomas

Did you try setting the print area?

Select everything you want to print, under the page layout tab, print area, set print area.

Or try switching to this other view, where you can drag and set your print areas, and what prints on each page.
