Cannot Access Admin Page

Hello, I have started having trouble accessing this page: https://security.microsoft.com/securitysettings/userSubmission

I get greeted with the message "Client Error: You don't have permission to view this page. If you need to view and use this page, please contact your admin."

I have the global admin role, and I even contacted my administrator. He tried to add a new user that had all admin permissions, and it still did not let him access the page. We are trying to do this to update DKIM.

Edit:

I did some more research and found that there is hybrid and cloud. We have only recently switched to using Microsoft. Can you please explain this a bit and show me how to check which one I am using? This would help us out so much!

Greetings Vasilios Perides,

Hope you are doing well!

If your trial license is active and included outlook you can use to test.

Important Note: Add up to 25 users during trials and Trial includes same features as the paid product.

To view the names of the subscriptions you are using, utilize Outlook on the web. The following are the steps:

I hope the above information will be helpful. We sincerely appreciate your patience and cooperation.

Thanks for your precious time.

Have a nice day!

Sincerely,

    Hello again,

The article you linked did not work, but I followed a different article: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/troubleshoot/licensing/determine-office-license-type?tabs=windows

I don't know if I should be sharing all of the information that showed up on the command prompt upon typing the command, so I took a screenshot of what I found most useful.

We are using the free edition to test how things worked because we were switching to Office.

    Hi Inema Elyse,

Sorry, but I've been having trouble figuring out how to view our Office 365 license. How do we check it? I tried looking it up, but all of the articles I found were outdated.

We cannot remember which license we got, and we just want to make sure you're getting the right information.

I have confirmed that I have the role for Security Administrator. Because I work alongside with the administrator, we added a user for testing purposes, giving every role and enabling it for that user. This was purely to test, and we knew we would delete it afterwards. Even the account that was given all permissions still failed to access that page. We also tried using the main admin account to access it, and it still did not work.

    Thanks,

    Vasilios

    Dear Vasilios Perides,

    Good day!

Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are glad to assist.

Based on your post regarding with "Cannot Access Admin Page". A cloud-only identity uses user accounts that exist only in Azure AD. Cloud-only identity is typically used by small organizations that do not have on-premises servers or do not use AD DS to manage local identities whereas Hybrid identities uses accounts that originate in an on-premises AD DS and have a copy in the Azure AD tenant of a Microsoft 365 subscription.

For extra reference kindly refer to Step 1. Determine your cloud identity model - Microsoft 365 Enterprise | Microsoft Learn

To understand the situation and be able to offer you relevant suggestions, we would need a little more information. Kindly help us in providing the following information.

    • According to the linked you provided, may I confirm that you have Security Administrator or Security Reader Role because one of these roles is required to View user reported messages? you may refer to Manage submissions - Office 365 | Microsoft Learn
    • May I know the license are you using? Additionally, may I confirm that your license is active?
    • May I confirm that this only occurs when you try to access this page?

This requested information will help us to narrow down the scenario and find the right troubleshooting.

We are looking forward to your response.

    Thanks for your precious time.

    Have a nice day!

    Best regards,
