Hi

I bought Microsoft 365 Business Basic account and setup two users for access.

After then, I tried to login with admin account after 30 days, it asked to enter the number through two-way authenticator app as below. The thing is I didn't enable the authenticator app and there is no way to use different way to approve the sign in request using my phone app.

Could you please assist how to resolve the issue?

Below is the message for the numbers.

"Approve sign in request

Open your Authenticator app, and enter the number shown to sign in. 47No numbers in your app? Make sure to upgrade to the latest version."

    Hello Bong S CHOI,

Good day. Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community.

According to your description, it seems that your admin account has been enabled the authentication method for passwordless phone sign-in which can direct users to sign in with their phones, without using a password.

May l please know if other two users are administrator? Do they have permission to access to admin center? If yes, you can ask them to disable Muti-Factor Authentication for you and see the result to log into business account, for instructions, see Set up multifactor authentication for users - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Learn.

Further as it seems like your account have already registered for the Microsoft Authenticator app, so we suggest you try to sign in by using Microsoft Authenticator app. When the app is installed, for further assistance configuring Microsoft Authenticator and disabling phone sign-in, please refer this article Sign in to your accounts using the Microsoft Authenticator app.

Moreover, as Microsoft has specific support channel resource for certain different support scope and attributes, for your given concern, would you mind connecting and place your query on our dedicated Microsoft Authenticator forum community Microsoft Authenticator - Microsoft Q&A? Technical engineers over there can provide possible information and assistant from their side.

I would really appreciate your precious time and kind cooperation.

    Best Regards,

    Tammy | Microsoft Community Moderator.
